M&M's, a Giant Canvas, and drawing, drawing, drawing
These first two are a bit of a bonus:
An activity that was going on in our apartment one evening was M&M painting--you dip them in water and paint with them!
This was my Christmas present to my sister--the quote of her choice. It's pretty big in real life.
And then more drawings...

The Post-Semester Drop
The semester is over! Hooray! Looking back, I can't believe how much I actually learned this semester. It was full of a lot of hard work, but satisfying hard work. Here are some pictures of more sketches I have been doing as of late.
I got a new tan-toned sketchbook. I'm obsessed!
This was my gingerbread house for a ward activity. It won a prize!
This is probably what I am most proud of on this post. This was my final assignment for my Intro to 2D animation class: to animate a sack of flour. This 16 video took about 22 hours and 160 drawings to make, folks. I have so much more respect for traditional animators now.
This was another quick project for the same class. We had to design a layout (background). I was inspired by the Tridge, a 3 way bridge found in my hometown of Midland, Michigan.

Lots o' stuff
Not much to say, other than that I have continued to be super busy. I'm still enjoying my classes and trying to fill every waking moment drawing that isn't spent doing homework. There is also a video below--my first animation from my Intro to 2-D Graphics class!

Hooray for 3D Graphics!
So... I've been keeping busy and working hard. Here are a few more pics of things I'v been working on here at BYU.
This was one of our projects in my Intro to 3D Graphics class. The assignment was to design and build an insect in Maya. I did the textures for this one in Photoshop. Doing these projects really got me into my "flow" zone, which is where I am happiest.
The Lego project from my 3D Graphics class here at BYU. It was created in Maya and the textures were painted in Photoshop. The class is now over, but I loved every second of it.
More pages of sketchbook...
Practicing expressions...
Hey, orangutans can have dreams of being superheroes too!
These are some figure drawings that I've done from the open drawing sessions here on campus. It is quite a challenge and I've had my (few) ups and (many) downs, but I'm improving!
Fun action poses.

Back at the Y
So here are a couple more sketches. I've sure been enjoying my classes here at BYU--learning about Illustrator, Photoshop, Maya, etc. And lots of drawing on top of that! I've been doing lots of studies of other artist's work and it has helped immensely.
On the left are my hands, on the right is a study of George Bridgman
When my friend told his mother that he wanted to be a fireman she said, "Don't. All firemen are full of themselves and think they are God's gift to women..." Haha!

A Slew of Summer Sketches
So this summer, I tried to fill most of my free time with drawing in hopes that my skills improve. I guess you can be the judge!
This is also my first post on this blog. The purpose of this blog is to just have a go-to place where I can show my art and progress. I'll try to be faithful in posting things and keep you up to date on my latest works and learnings. I'm excited for this!
This copy from another artist taught me a lot about foreshortening.
In our car ride...
Rio 2016 inspired sketches
This was a comic book character a friend and I invented as a kid. Notice how he has a box on his head, wears boxing gloves and boxers, and has a pet boxer as his side-kick.
Don't know what inspired this... maybe just the fact that i like balloons and pterodactyls a lot?
On the plane ride to Provo...
